Halong Bay is another unforgettable experience especially the sights of the beautiful Bay being devastated by the storm. Lots of activities and thanks to the manager, Mr Happy for his efforts.   A most unforgettable trip to Hanoi and North Vietnam  - Our trip with Jacky Vietnam Travel ( 5-12 September 2024) was amazing, memorable and wonder-filled.

The travel agent was well prepared for natural disasters but ... read more the super typhoon Yagi was a challenge to meet the expectations of his customers.

We were able to continue with most of our tour itinerary in Mu Cang Cai , Sapa and Lao Cai even as typhoon Yagi made landfall in Hanoi on Saturday night.

But on Sunday morning, our guide Mau cancelled Bac Ha market and hurried us to depart Sapa for Lao Cai . Much later, we learnt that Sapa and Lao Cai had been hit with a massive tropical storm, heavy rain, flooding and landslides making road passage for vehicles impossible.

So instead of getting stuck in Sapa we were blessed to stay a night in Tomodachi Retreat Duong Lam, a beautiful resort and enjoy the resort facilities.

We are thankful that our Vietnam travel agent JACKY VIETNAM TRAVEL acted responsibly, checked weather conditions constantly and was hands on to deal with the situation.

Our heartfelt thanks to Jacky Vietnam Travel for enabling everything possible to make our trip truly memorable.

  A tour that exceeded my expectations! - I can’t recommend enough for Jacky Vietnam Tour. I am impressed by the responsiveness, resourcefulness and efficiency of Jacky Tour. There was an emergency where I was leaving Vietnamese the... read more last day and I realised I have left an important belonging on the Halong Bay cruise. Jacky displayed quick and swift actions immediately to arrange for a speedboat and driver to bring it back to me at the airport, of course with a fee but it was well worth it. It over exceeded my expectations. Instead of rushing to the gate, it was delivered to me with ample time to get on my flight. I was given constant update which gave me the assurance that I was able to get home safely and on time.

Everything was seamless and organised. Jacky allowed us the flexibility to plan the places we would like to go. He also update us on the driver details easily via WhatsApp. On the pre-trip, he and his staff have good advice on our short but fruitful 5D4N Sapa Hanoi Halong Bay trip. My sister also had good review about him for her 2 trips she engaged him before.

Jacky will also be coming to Singapore for NATAS fair. I wish him all the best for his business and definitely recommend this tour agency as such service level is hard to come by.

Every new city we visited, we had a guide, driver and a car so it gave a very personal touch to our holiday. All the guides were extremely knowledgeable and knew so much about the fascinating history and culture.
Every day Ms Smiley would enquire how our day was and whether we had any problems. She updated us every time we were visiting a new city as to the guide's name and contact number.
Jacky Travel were very fexible during the trip. On a particular day, we were not able to do a tour so we completed the itinerary the following day. On the first day, our flight was delayed so with the flexibility of Ms Smiley, we were able to have dinner instead of lunch.
Being a family of 4 vegetarians, we had no problems whatsoever. We were taken to vegetarian restaurants who catered for us very well. Food was plenty in the restaurants, sometimes not being able to finish!
Finally, in Hanoi it was a pleasure to meet Ms Smiley and her colleague. With their presence, it was fairly easy to get access to the famous Train street where we had the opportunity to have coffee with them.
