Only the citizens of below countries are able to visit Vietnam without an entry visa:

– Most citizens of ASEAN member-countries as Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Laos do not need visa if they visit Vietnam within 30 days. The Philippine passport holders do not need a Vietnamese visa for 21 days and Myanmar do not need Visa within 14 days. The passport holders of Brunei are not required to get a visa to Vietnam for 15 days. They could apply for popular passport type with return tickets.

– From July, 1st 2018 to next June 2021, Vietnam Government exempts Visas for nationals of 5 Western European countries as: France, Germany, Spain, United Kingdom and Italy. They do not need visa if staying in Vietnam less than 15 days regardless of their purpose or type of visas.

– Citizens of and Timor-Leste is all required Visa Vietnam.

– The Passport Holders from Korea, Japan, Russia and the Scandinavian nations (as Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and Finland) do not need visa to Vietnam if they intend to stay in the country within 15 days. They could also apply for popular passport type with return tickets.

The beaches of Hoi An

Cua Dai Beach

Cua Dai is the closest beach to Hoi An. It is easy to go to Cua Dai Beach by bicycle. You can rent bicycles in Hoi An old town easily for 3 or 4 USD per day.

At Cua Dai Beach, you will enjoy the wonderfull landscape and the white sand of this beach. You can rent a chair to take a bath of sun or have a drink on the beach.

An Bang Beach

This very popular and very touristy stretch of the Hanoi Beach is called An Bang. There are more tourists on this beach but the view is amazing. That’s why more people go there.

My Son Holy Land : The Angkor Wat of Vietnam

My Son Holy Land is located in a narrow valley, surrounded by springs, mountains and green, dense jungle. It consists of several temple – towers constructed between 7th and 13th century AD.

After centuries of wars and numerous natural changes there are still about 70 monuments remaining, representing six styles of ancient Champa art. It contains evidence of cultural interactions between Champa Kingdom and other South East Asian civilisations, such as India and China.

New experience : catching fish in Tam Coc

With our new guests, we went to Tam Coc for a new experience in the Ninh Binh province. There, after discovering the beautiful landscapes of this part of Vietnam, our guets could try to learn how to fish in the rivers of Tam Coc. Our guide brought them to the river and told them how they had to fish with smal wooden baskets. It is a traditionnal way to fish in Vietnam.

Our guests enjoyed a lot catching fish in the river ! They were wet but happy !

Our guests were very good fishermen or very lucky because they catched a lot of fish ! This was impressive !

 

Staying overnight at bungalow

After fishing party, our guest went to the bungalow near the mountains of Ninh Binh. These confortable bungalows provided a peaceful experience. Staying overnight in the middle of the vietnamese nature is wonderful. Our guests were glad to stay there and enjoyed a lot the local food of Ninh Binh. For dinner, they could taste the fish they catched in the river !

In general, the best time to visit Vietnam is from October to April. At this time, temperatures are not too hot on average throughout all Vietnam and the weather is generally dry. However, given that the country stretches over 1000 km from north to south, there is not really a better time to visit Vietnam, but different periods depending on the regions you want to visit. Indeed, Vietnam being divided into 3 parts (North, Central and South), all these regions have different climates.

The monsoon period in Vietnam is in summer with periods of different rainy seasons in Northern, Central and Southern Vietnam. Indeed, the monsoon in Northern Vietnam runs from July to September. The monsoon in Central Vietnam will begin later, from September to November. The rainy season begin in the month of July in the South and stop in September/October.

Best time to visit Northern Vietnam

Best time to visit Sapa

  • From October to April: the weather is dry and not too hot. It is the best time to visit Northern Vietnam and it is also the peak tourist season. In December and January, the temperature in the north may be between 15 and 17 ° C. Note that in the mountains of Vietnam such as Sapa or Ha Giang, the temperature can drop below 5 ° C in December and January.
  • From May to June: The weather is dry at this time but it is the hottest time in the Northern Vietnam with temperatures of up to 38 ° C for several days
